The McPherson suture tying forceps are a high-quality precision instrument and used as a ligature aid. The tips form a thread platform with broken edges to prevent the suture thread from being accidentally severed. They are angled at 45° and rounded to minimize damage to the tissue. The spacers in the handle ensure that too much pressure is not built up.
